Final Finish Host -
Data Collection & Machine Control Support

CTI designed the Final Finish Host (FFH) for use on a HP-UX or Intel-based Linux server to complement the TTOC series of TUO Controllers, and "close the loop" on tire uniformity data collection and reporting. FFH offers these features

Automated Data Collection
FFH collects, summarizes, and stores test results from tire uniformity machines. It is fully integrated with the CTI TTOC and MSI TUO controllers, and custom interfaces are available for Astec and TQC-86 controllers and several types of balance machines

Centralized Setup Table and Grading Limits Maintenance
Using a web browser, users can configure recipes for test sequence, grading limits and various machine setup parameters (such as servo positions and grinding values) that they can download to one or all controllers

Production and Uniformity Reporting
A variety of report formats provide yield, uniformity, repeatability, and machine utilization information in a PDF format.

Features Benefits
> Supports multiple uniformity machine controllers
> supports bar coded material handling
> set up and control from a web browser
> dynamic color display shows status of final finish
   machines
> Centralized grading configuration saves time and
   ensures consistency among machines
> on-demand and time scheduled reporting
> users can customize and save report configurations
> PDF reports available for viewing on any PC
> summary data compiled across many machines
Overview
The CTI FFH computer system manages the test requirements for tire uniformity testing and optimization and collects the tire testing information. The FFH is accessible over the internet and is fully capable of doing uniformity reporting for internal process control information as well as reporting suitable for the requirements of an OE customer. The FFH supports any tire uniformity machine capable of serial (RS-232) or TCP/IP communication

Field Proven

>
Final Finish Host has been successfully implemented at several global tire manufacturers

Business Challenge
>
Customers required a single access point to control tire testing recipes and customer specifications, analyze data,
view machine performance, and schedule machine preventive maintenance. The solution required a zero footprint
architecture and was developed using web technology.

Solution
>
Designed and built a data warehouse to automate the collection and normalizing of data from more than 20
   distinct data sources

>
Data is collected on a 24/7/365 basis with transaction volumes exceeding 260,000 per day
>
Created a fully customizable web based reporting environment that provides end-users with the ability to select
   multiple variables for each query

>
Users are able to configure and save frequently used reports
>
Reports are available for viewing via a web browser in a cross-tab, chart, or to print as a PDF document
